Terms of Service

Effective October 19, 2026

These terms cover using ReleaseFlow, the release, update and licensing service at releaseflow.net, and buying a ReleaseFlow plan. By creating an account, buying a plan or using the service you agree to them.

1. Who we are

ReleaseFlow is made by George Kitanov (“Kitze”), a sole proprietor based in Skopje, North Macedonia. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Kitze; “you” means the person or company that uses ReleaseFlow.

2. The service

ReleaseFlow reads the releases of the GitHub repositories you connect (or files you upload) and gives your app download pages and links, auto-update feeds for Sparkle and Electron, release channels, a hosted checkout on your own payment provider, license keys with activation, trial and device-limit APIs, a license portal for your customers, and REST and MCP APIs. Features differ between the free and paid plans as described on the pricing section.

3. Your account

  • Keep your login, GitHub connection, API keys and payment-provider keys safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account and its keys.
  • Give us accurate information, and you must be at least 16 to create an account.
  • ReleaseFlow acts on your connected repositories with the GitHub permissions you grant, including creating a release webhook on each connected repository. You can revoke that access in your GitHub settings at any time; release syncing then stops.

4. Plans and payment

  • The free plan costs nothing. Paid plans are billed monthly, yearly or once (lifetime), at the price shown at checkout.
  • Purchases are processed by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar handles payments, sales tax and VAT, and sends your receipt and invoice.
  • Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time; the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
  • A lifetime plan is a one-time payment for the plan’s features for as long as we operate ReleaseFlow, not a perpetual guarantee of any specific feature.
  • If we change prices, the change applies from your next billing period, and we tell you before it does.

5. Refunds

Refund requests are handled case by case. Email hi@kitze.io from the email you used at checkout. Approved refunds are issued through Polar. This doesn’t limit any refund rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

6. Selling your own apps

  • When you sell an app through ReleaseFlow, the checkout runs on your own Polar, Stripe or Lemon Squeezy account. You are the seller: the sale is between you, your customer and your payment provider. ReleaseFlow does not take a cut and is not a party to the sale.
  • You are responsible for your prices, taxes (unless your provider is the merchant of record), refunds, chargebacks, customer support, and the license terms and privacy policy you give your customers.
  • We process your customers’ data (emails, license keys, devices, downloads) on your behalf, only to run downloads, updates, checkout and licensing for your apps, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Your apps and content

  • Your apps, binaries, release notes and other content stay yours. You give us the permission needed to store, copy and serve them to your users in order to run the service.
  • You must have the right to distribute what you publish, and it must not contain malware or anything that harms the people who install it.

8. Acceptable use

Don’t use ReleaseFlow to:

  • distribute malware, spyware, or software that infringes rights;
  • break the law, or sell anything illegal;
  • overload, probe or attack the service, or get around rate limits, plan limits or another account’s access;
  • resell the service itself without our permission.

9. If you bought an app distributed through ReleaseFlow

Your purchase and license are with the app’s developer, under the developer’s terms. ReleaseFlow delivers the download, updates and license key on their behalf. For refunds or support, contact the developer; for Kitze’s own apps, that is us at hi@kitze.io.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep ReleaseFlow running, including the download, update and license endpoints your apps depend on, but we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or remove features over time. If we ever shut ReleaseFlow down, we will give notice so you can move your update URLs; your binaries live in your own GitHub releases.

11. Suspension and termination

You can stop using ReleaseFlow and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk. Where it is reasonable, we tell you first.

12. Privacy

How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.

13. No warranty

ReleaseFlow is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. You are responsible for testing your releases and update feeds before you ship them.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to ReleaseFlow is limited to the amount you paid us for ReleaseFlow in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits, lost sales, or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited under applicable law.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of North Macedonia, and the courts of Skopje have jurisdiction, without taking away any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.

16. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest change. If you keep using ReleaseFlow after a change, the new terms apply.
